We have been asked, "What do you charge for your puppies?"   It is typical to pay $3000 for a QUALITY pup and  I do not differentiate between markings as they are only 'skin-deep'.  What matters most is what is BENEATH those markings!   We have on occasion 'placed' older dogs for between  $1500 to $2200 but any well-bred, well-socialized and well-cared for puppy RAISED IN A HOME (not a kennel) justifies a higher price.  Why?  Because caring for puppies underfoot in our home 24 hours a day, seven days a week is a LOT OF WORK.  So be sure to ask and SEE where your puppy was raised so that you know he or she was properly socialized.  This may not make a difference in some dogs but with the "Companion breeds" it matters since they have been specifically bred to be YOUR CONSTANT COMPANION!  Any prolonged absence or lack of human interaction can be detrimental to their mental health!

Further more, 'Show Quality' healthy Cavaliers can take YEARS to acquire and develop.  Even we had to wait years to gain the trust of reputable breeders for some of our dogs in our breeding program.  And then there still isn't the guarantee the animal will be 'breed-worthy' at a later date.  It is a long process and why we charge so much for our dogs.  Any reputable breeder who is doing it right will have the same story. 

For those who can not afford to spend so much, we will occasionally have an older puppy or a juvenile puppy or an adult available.  This may have been a 'show hopeful' or an adult we are retiring.   The prices vary depending upon the age but typically for dogs under 2 years expect to pay $1800 to $2200.  For an older adult, we can discuss.  But looking for the 'Perfect fit' is first and foremost.  Any other questions, please write or call.
